Start with the exact phone
A phone needs to support the relevant wireless charging method; a glass back alone proves nothing. Check the manufacturer's specification and the charger's compatibility information. Magnetic attachment and wireless power transfer are related in some products but are not interchangeable promises. A magnet holding the phone in place does not establish the supported charging rate.
Where a product claims Qi certification, use the Wireless Power Consortium's product information to check the claim. Certification helps identify a defined product standard, but the complete setup still depends on the phone and power supply. Similar names or a familiar-looking circular pad are not enough to confirm the exact model.
Add the case to the comparison
Cases can change spacing and alignment. Read the supported case guidance and avoid assuming that every case described as thin works equally well. A wallet attachment, metal plate or another accessory may need to be removed according to the instructions. Compare the setup you will actually use rather than testing only the bare phone.
A stand must also place the phone at the right height. Small and large phones can meet the charging area differently. Check whether portrait and landscape use are supported if you plan to watch video while charging. Do not infer that a stand's adjustable angle also adjusts the position of its charging components.
The adapter matters
Some pads are sold without a wall adapter. Find the required input power and charging protocol before choosing one from a drawer. An unsuitable supply can limit or prevent the intended operation even when the phone sits correctly. Include the right cable and adapter in the price comparison.
Place the charger on a stable surface and follow instructions about ventilation and foreign objects. Check that charging begins after putting the phone down rather than assuming the magnetic feel proves it. If the phone repeatedly stops charging, inspect alignment, case and power supply one at a time. A reliable place to put the phone each evening is a better outcome than chasing a headline speed that your complete setup cannot use.
