A case is not always a charger
A hard travel case can protect the handle from pressure inside a bag without providing any charging function. Establish whether it is a storage case, a charging case or a case with its own battery. These are different arrangements. A USB connection may still require a particular power source.
Lay out the components before leaving. Does the handle fit with its head attached or removed? Is there space for the cable, and does the closure prevent accidental button presses? Activate any travel lock as directed and check how to release it later, rather than discovering the sequence away from home.
Read the power information
Use a charger approved for the exact model. Read the input voltage and other information on the power supply. A plug adapter changes the plug shape, not automatically the electrical voltage. Do not assume compatibility because a charger has the same brand or because the handle appears to sit on it.
For a USB version, the cable and power adapter must meet the manual's requirements. Check whether the manufacturer supports charging through the travel accessory. Let connections dry before charging and choose an appropriate dry location; a wet toiletry bag is not a charging station.
How much runtime do you need?
Compare stated battery life with the assumptions accompanying it. A number of days may be based on a particular frequency and duration of use. An older battery may also behave differently from a new one. Charge well before the journey and check its status before departure, rather than discovering at the destination that you packed the wrong cable.
For a short trip, the charged handle alone may suffice if expected runtime allows. For a longer trip, a suitable charging arrangement matters more than the smallest possible bag. Avoid carrying several almost identical power supplies without identifying which one belongs to which device.
Pack clean and dry
Clean and dry components as instructed before closing the case. Keep used and unused brush heads distinguishable. Do not leave a wet head enclosed for an extended period where the manufacturer advises against it. Save the manual or model number offline so you can check the correct components even without an internet connection.
